Ok! It’s February 28th!
The Print-on-Demand version of BloodDreams Issue 1 is now available over at CreateSpace, and eventually (pending) on Amazon for $9.99:
And so, I meet my personal deadline promise of having it out in February 2011. Whew!
It is 7×10″ so not a comic book size like the “full printing” will be. There’s a few pages of images/content that will not be in the full printing version, and this has been marked “early release print-on-demand version,” so you can prove you were among the first. I plan to only have it available for 4-8 weeks.
Now. There is a “traditional” print version in the works – as opposed to Print-on-Demand. I’m estimating 4-6 weeks before books are printed & in hand & ready for order. The cover price on that version will be approximately $6, more or less. So only get the POD version if you really must be first!

I finished painting the last page today. There’s still some corrections, and then a bunch of scanning and lettering to do. But I finished painting today. Holy crap!

Personal life has been throwing curveballs left & right for months & months, now, but I am delighted to report that paint is still happening:
I’m officially listed at Committed Comics, my part of the project is nearing completion.
In addition, I have ~8 more pages of BloodDreams to paint, then layouts & revisions & lettering & all. But I have high hopes of getting all the painting & most of the rest done before San Diego Comic-Con International this summer, even tho’ I’m still not 100% sure I’ll be able to go.
Only time will tell, then I’ll tell all of you!

Inviting you to come see me & my art & miscellaneous prints, cards & magnets for sale at the Durham Artwalk this coming weekend, Nov. 21-22, Saturday 10am – 5pm & Sunday 1- 5pm.
Come look at artstuff, just to say “hi!” or come for the burgers: I’m told there will be an “Only Burger” truck very very nearby. Bring friends. Look at art. Eat stuff. I will not speculate about the weather, but these things are fun rain or shine.
I will NOT be in the main building this time around, I’ll be in the West Village, at 610 W Main Street.
The building runs perpendicularly between Morgan & Main Street. Parking lot is directly behind the old DATA transfer station on Great Jones (These directions are copied directly from someone else’s email, so I’m hoping they make sense.)
More awesome stuff from podcasting writer types: J.C. Hutchins’ 7th Son: Descent
There’s so much more to say about it, I could never do it justice. Oh, and I’ve got to get back to painting. Later!

… still painting comics, halfway through paintings for Project with Seekrit Details, and a few more BloodDreams pages done. Past month or so have been slow going, slow painting. Energy and time are never constant, but it’d be nice if they were a bit more consistent.
I don’t believe there’s a creative type out there who hasn’t thought the same way at some point.
Stay tuned, someday there will be time to share some images here.
